Setup of BenQ EL71 to Hewlett Packard iPAQ h1940 using Built in Bluetooth for GPRS

Prerequisite
• It might be necessary to install the latest version of the bluetooth drivers available from the PDA manufacturer website
• Please ensure the GPRS service provider has enabled the SIM card for the GPRS service

Pairing the devices
• On the handset, press the `central navigation button`
• Scroll to `Settings`, press the `central navigation button`
• Scroll to `Connectivity`, press the `central navigation button`
• Scroll to `Bluetooth sett`, press the `central navigation button`
• If asked `Bluetooth not active. Activate Bluetooth?`, press `Yes`
• Scroll to `My BT info`, press the `central navigation button`
• In the `Device name` field, enter a name for the handset, for example `MyHandset` and press the `central navigation button`
• Scroll to `Visible to others`, press the `central navigation button`
• Scroll to `Always visible`, press the `central navigation button`
• Press `Back`
• Press the red hang-up button once to return to the main screen
• On the PDA, tap `Start` and tap `Today.`
• Tap `Start`, `Settings`
• Tap the `Connections` tab, tap `Bluetooth`
• If the `Bluetooth status` is displayed as `Bluetooth is OFF`, tap `Turn on`
• Tap the `Accessibility` tab
• Under `Device Identification`, make sure that the `Use PocketPC device name for Bluetooth` box is ticked
• Under `Accessibility`, make sure that the `Allow other devices to connect` box is ticked and that `All devices` is selected
• Tick the `Other devices can discover me` box and tap `ok`
• Tap `Bluetooth Manager`
• Tap `Tools`, tap `Paired devices` and tap `Add`
• Tap the `lookup` icon located next to the `Device` field
• On the `Bluetooth Browser` screen , tap the icon bearing the name of the handset
• In the `Passkey` field enter 0000, tap `ok`
• On the handset, when prompted to `Re-enter the passcode`, enter the `Passkey` as specified in `step before this one` and press the `central navigation button`
• When prompted to `Add device to known device list`, press `Yes`
• On the PDA, tap `ok`
• Close the `Bluetooth Manager` screen, close the `Settings` screen

Setting up the modem
• On the PDA, tap `Start` and then `Settings`
• Tap the `Connections` tab
• Tap the `Connections` icon
• Ensure that the `Tasks` tab is selected
• Under `My ISP`, tap `Add a new modem connection`
• In the `Enter a name for the connection` field, enter ISAT-GPRS
• From the `Select a modem` drop down list, select `Bluetooth Dialup Modem` and tap `Next`
• In the `Enter the number exactly as it should be dialed` field, enter *99***1#
• Tap `Use dialing rules` and ensure that the `Use dialing rules` option is not ticked. Tap `ok`
• Tap `Next`
• In the `User name` field, enter indosat
• In the `Password` field, enter indosat
• Leave the `Domain` field clear
• Tap `Advanced`
• From the `Baud rate` drop down list, select 57600
• Untick `Wait for dial tone before dialing`
• In the `Extra dial-string modem commands` field, enter AT + CGDCONT = 1 , "IP" , "indosatgprs" (without any space) and tap `ok`
• Tap `Finish`
• Tap `ok`
• Close the `Settings` screen

Setting up the connection
• On the PDA, tap `Start` and tap `Today.`
• Tap `Start`, `Settings`
• Tap the `Connections` tab, tap `Bluetooth Manager`
• Tap `New`
• Highlight `Explore a Bluetooth device`, tap `Next`
• Tap the icon bearing the name of the handset
• Tap `Dial-up Networking`, tap `Next`
• Tap `Finish`
• Close the `Bluetooth Manager` screen
• Close the `Settings` screen

Making the connection
• On the PDA, tap `Start` and tap `Today.`
• Tap `Start`, `Settings`
• Tap the `Connections` tab, tap `Bluetooth Manager`
• Tap and hold the `Dial-up Networking` icon, tap `Connect`
• On the `Bluetooth Dial-up connection` screen, tap ISAT-GPRS and tap `ok`

You will now be connected to the GPRS service
