Setup of Nokia N70 to Laptop Windows XP using Nokia DKU 2 USB Cable for GPRS

Prerequisite
• Please ensure the GPRS service provider has enabled the SIM card for the GPRS service
• Please ensure the USB Cable is NOT connected to the PC before starting the installation
• Please have the Nokia Connectivity Cable cable software available or download the latest drivers from http://www.nokia.com
• Please ensure that you have at least Service Pack 1 or higher on your laptop

Driver installation
• On the PC, insert the CD into the CD-Rom Drive, alternatively launch the setup file for drivers you have downloaded
• When the `Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver` window appears, click `Next` to continue
• If you agree to the license agreement, select `I accept the terms in the license agreement` and click `Next`
• Chose the destination of the installation, click `Install`
• Click `Finish`
• Connect the handset to the PC using the Nokia Connectivity cable
• Windows will state it has found new hardware
• If the `Digital Signature` window appears click `Continue Anyway`
• The driver installation will now be complete

Setting up the modem
• Click `Start`, `Settings` and then `Control Panel`
• If necessary, click `Switch to Classic View`
• Double click `Phone and Modem Options`
• If the `Location Information` window appears, enter `0` in the `What area code (or city code) are you in now?` field and click `OK`
• Click the `Modems` tab
• Highlight `Nokia N70 USB`, click `Properties`
• Click the `Advanced` tab
• In the `Extra initialization commands` field, enter AT + CGDCONT = 1 , "IP" , "indosatgprs" (without any space)
• Click `OK`
• Close the `Phone and Modem Options` window
• Double click the `Network Connections` icon
• Click `Create a new connection`, click `Next`
• Click `Connect to the Internet`, click `Next`
• Click `Set up my connection manually`, click `Next`
• Click `Connect using a dial-up modem`, click `Next`
• Make sure that the `Modem - Nokia N70 USB` is the only device ticked, click `Next`
• In the `ISP Name` field, enter ISAT-GPRS
• Click `Next`
• In the `Phone number` field, enter *99***1#, click `Next`
• In the `User name` field, enter indosat
• In the `Password` field, enter indosat
• In the `Confirm Password field`, enter indosat
• Untick `Make this the default Internet connection`, click `Next`
• Tick the `Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop` box, click `Finish`
• The connection window will appear, click `Cancel`
• Close the `Network Connections` window

Making the connection
• On the PC desktop, double click the ISAT-GPRS shortcut
• Click `Dial`

You will now be connected to the GPRS service
