Setup of Nokia N70 to Laptop Windows 2000 using Nokia DKU 2 USB Cable for GPRS

Prerequisite
• Please ensure the GPRS service provider has enabled the SIM card for the GPRS service
• Please ensure the USB Cable is NOT connected to the PC before starting the installation
• Please have the Nokia Connectivity Cable cable software available or download the latest drivers from http://www.nokia.com

Driver installation
• On the PC, insert the CD into the CD-Rom Drive, alternatively launch the setup file for drivers you have downloaded
• When the `Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver` window appears, click `Next` to continue
• If you agree to the license agreement, select `I accept the terms in the license agreement` and click `Next`
• Chose the destination of the installation, click `Install`
• Click `Finish`
• Connect the handset to the PC using the Nokia Connectivity cable
• Windows will state it has found new hardware
• If the `Digital Signature` window appears click `Continue Anyway`
• The driver installation will now be complete

Setting up the modem
• Click `Start`, `Settings` and then `Control Panel`
• Double click `Phone and Modem Options`
• If the `Location Information` window appears, enter `0` in the `What area code (or city code) are you in now?` field and click `OK`
• Click the `Modems` tab
• Highlight `Nokia N70 USB`, click `Properties`
• Click the `Advanced` tab
• In the `Extra initialization commands` field, enter AT + CGDCONT = 1 , "IP" , "indosatgprs" (without any space)
• Click `OK`
• Close the `Phone and Modem Options` window

Setting up the connection
• In the `Control Panel`, double click the `Network and Dial-up Connections` icon
• Double click `Make New Connection`
• In the `Network Connection Wizard` window, click `Next` to continue
• Select `Dial-up to the Internet`, click `Next`
• Select `I want to set up my Internet connection manually`, or `I want to connect through a local are network (LAN)`, click `Next`
• Select `I connect through a phone line and modem`, click `Next`
• From the drop down list, select `Nokia N70 USB` and click `Next`
• Untick `Use area code and dialing rules`
• In the `Telephone number` field, enter *99***1# and click `Next`
• In the `User name` field, enter indosat
• In the `Password` field, enter indosat
• Click `Next`
• In the `Connection name` field, enter ISAT-GPRS
• Click `Next`
• When asked to set up your internet mail account, select `No` and click `Next`
• Click `Finish`
• In the `Network and Dial-up Connections` window, right click ISAT-GPRS and select `Create Shortcut`
• When the `Shortcut` window appears, click `Yes`
• Close the `Network and Dial-up Connections` window

Making the connection
• On the PC desktop, double click the ISAT-GPRS shortcut
• Click `Dial`

You will now be connected to the GPRS service
